Description

Made from post-consumer (used/pre-owned) recycled silk saris, this ribbon yarn is available in a range of beautiful colours. The wonderfully delicate silk ribbon is made of torn strips (varying in width from roughly 2.5-4 cm) sewn end to end. It is fabulous as a weft yarn in weaving but can also be used for some very interesting chunky and loose knitting.

Being upcycled from used sari silk fabric, this ribbon yarn is delicate (particularly when flat); it is not suitable for end uses that experience heavy wear or tear.

Where 2+ skeins of the same colour are ordered, we will try to provide skeins with the most similar colour/tone. Colour variations between skeins is normal for a product of this nature.
